| Aaron's Wednesday interview with Mortimore's was rescheduled for Monday at 4:30 - giving Aaron even more time to get his demo real to where it should be. Rob had some helpful hints to make that happen (thanks, Rob). So God seems to really want Aaron ready for this. I hope that's a good thing. Of course it is.
Thanks for your prayers PLEASE keep them up! miss ya'll!

| Thanks for all your prayers. For those that didn't get my first email, Aaron scored an interview with a video editing company in town called Mortimer's. We know that it is a reputable company because Rob did his internship there and helps them out from time to time. Since Aaron's been back from Montana, he's been dealing with his computer problems, reinstalls and glitches so that he might edit a demo to give the owner, Dan Mortimer, if he were to get an interview. Our friend from Berean Bible Church (also my stage directer and our chiropractor), Paul, has known Dan forever and thinks that Aaron is an awful lot like him and that they would work well together. Dan has knowledge of Mortimer's growing and Dan drowning from the amount of work (copy and editing) that they have to do. So Paul set up a meeting with Dan and Aaron - the three guys together, which helps Aaron since he isn't very self-confident and has a hard time talking himself up which you kinda have to do in an interview. So the meeting was to be at Mortimer's yesterday late afternoon and maybe over food. Like I said, Aaron has been having troubles with his video editing computer and the time was upon us. Long, sad story short, Aaron didn't get his stuff together in time for the interview. He even
was running a bit late to rendezvous with Paul from
our church who was going to take Aaron down to Mortimer's. He was about
to burn the project and had to undo his last step and Ctrl-Z'd to do so
and hit it twice and... voila! Program failure and he couldn't get
everything fixed by the time he HAD to go. I mean how bad would it be
to be late for your first interview? Feeling defeated, he scurried of
to meet the contact at Albertson's (me on my lunch break) so I could
pray with him quickly before heading out. He did have his written
resume and 3 ORIGINAL MASTERS of the projects he was demonstrating in
the edited piece that he failed to produce in time. All went well
because Dan Mortimer forgot about the appointment and was at home
sleeping, apparently completely exhausted from this election season's
amount of work. So Aaron is in a pretty good spot right now. He did
interview with Dan's daughter who is in charge of finances, among other
things, at Mortimer's. She watched one of Aaron's promo's and asked him
to meet Dan for a second interview at Starbuck's on Wednesday. Our
contact, who has known Dan for many many moons and who knows Dan
daughter as well, says that things went well and that Dan probably
feels silly and that's a plus for Aaron. Aaron was VERY nervous and
this gives him even more time to think over his approach to the
interview and get his demo-reel together. Something else that helped
sooth the nerves - while at Mortimer's our buddy Rob appeared as if
from heaven to simply put his hand on Aaron's shoulder and say, "Hey,
man.". That allowed Aaron to put down his guard a bit, just breathe,
and proceed with confidence.
So there you have it. Interview #2 on Wednesday. This could be so great for Aaron/us. It feels right. It feels like God. Writing is Aaron's passion, as you know, and editing is second only to writing and God wouldn't give him these passions if He didn't want Aaron to use them, so...
And I am currently listening to original music that my parents did when there my age or younger with their old friend, Joe Harris, whom we had breakfast with yesterday morning. He burned a CD with a bunch of his music on it some featuring my parents. Eat that!

| We are having Hawaiian days at Albertsons and I go to work everyday all decked out in Hawaiian shirts and flowers, etc.
Every Monday is "Cheap Chicken Monday" with 4 legs 4 thighs for $3.99
and THIS Monday we had a corporate walk through to see how we decorated
for Hawaiian Days throughout the store. We did great. Corporate took a
picture of my Chicken surfer and wants to put it on the front page of
their district flyer. Heh. Hillarious.
well here are my luau chickens
